Barbara runs City of Manchester 10k for Walkden Citizens Advice Bureau

Barbara has completed the City of Manchester 10k Race to raise money for Walkden Citizens Advice Bureau.

Barbara has so far raised at least £630 for Walkden Citizens Advice Bureau by completing the run and she hopes the final total will be even more.

Sponsorship donations can still be made by sending a cheque made payable to: ‘Citizens Advice’ Salford to Barbara Keeley’s office at: First Floor, 37 Manchester Road, Walkden, Worsley M28 3NS. All cheques received will then be forwarded on to Walkden Citizens Advice Bureau.

Barbara said:

“It was a good event to run but 10K is a longer distance than I normally manage. I was pleased to do the run to raise money for the Walkden Citizens Advice Bureau, because it is such a vital local service.

“I am very grateful to all those who have sponsored me so far, including local businesses, friends and family and Labour Party members.  I would particularly like to thank local businesses Wilkinson Star Limited, Tomkinson Homes Ltd and Hargreaves Quality Food Ltd for their support.

“I hope that we can continue to raise as much money as possible in order to save Walkden Citizens Advice Bureau.   Local people in Walkden and the surrounding areas rely on this essential local service.  Without the Advice Bureau, many people will have nowhere else to turn for advice and support when they really need it.  I will continue on with the campaign to protect Walkden Citizens Advice Bureau.”
