The Government has confirmed to me that Peel Ports Group are in the process of putting together an application under the Transport and Works Act 1992 to increase the toll of Warburton Bridge.

I remain opposed to Peel Ports Group’s proposal to increase the toll to £1 and I believe that it is wrong for Peel Ports Group to pass the £6.5 million bill for the much-needed works to repair Warburton Bridge onto local residents.
