Barbara Keeley MP

Barbara joins Danny Wallace walking the London Marathon

Barbara met up with ex-Manchester United star Danny Wallace as he completed the first stages of the London Marathon.

Danny, who suffers from multiple sclerosis (MS), a disease that disables the central nervous system, is completing the marathon at walking pace over a period of five to six days.

In doing so, Danny hopes to raise thousands of pounds for the Danny Wallace Foundation that supports suffers of MS, their families and carers.

Barbara, Danny’s MP in his home town of Worsley, met up with him on Tuesday, to take part in the walk with him and help raise money for the Danny Wallace Foundation.

Barbara said:

“I was delighted to meet up with Danny on the London Marathon route and accompany him as far as Rotherhithe. He has a great team of people supporting him and the spirit that is being generated as they pass through London is very positive.

“I hope Danny goes on to raise as much as possible for MS sufferers, their families and carers, I have already contributed towards his target and would ask as many other people as possible to go to and donate generously.”
