Barbara Keeley MP

LABOUR MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR WORSLEY AND ECCLES SOUTH

Barbara Keeley supports Salford's young carers

Barbara supported a team of young carers from Salford at an adventure day run last Friday by the charity Manchester Kids.

The adventure day was aimed to help the young carers with team building and communications skills and involved outdoor challenges such as pitching a tent and a mini assault course.

Manchester Kids are running a campaign early in December to raise funds for Young Carers in Salford and across all the boroughs in Greater Manchester. They hope to raise at least £5,000 for Salford Young Carers.

Barbara said:

"It was great to visit the adventure day and to meet the young carers from Salford. They seemed to be having a great time with the outdoor challenges.

"I am pleased that Manchester Kids are raising funds for the Salford Young Carers project, as the project is doing a great job and any extra funding will help them reach out to more young carers in our area and offer them support. I will do my best in December to help publicise the Young Carers campaign and help the fundraising effort for our Young Carers."
