Barbara Keeley MP

Barbara supports Salford Media City

Barbara attended an event at the Labour Party's Annual Conference in Manchester at which future opportunities at Salford's Media City were explored.

Culture Secretary, Andy Burnham, attended the event and said there would be wonderful opportunities for young people from Salford at Media City. Cllr John Merry said that Media City meant it was time for national and regional media to accept a better and brighter profile for Salford, which could offer such a range of opportunities to its young people.

Barbara said:

"Media City is an exciting development for everyone is Salford and will offer a bright future in career opportunities in the Digital and Creative industries to many of our young people. It was good to have the opportunity at this event to review those opportunities which will benefit my constituents in Worsley."
