Barbara takes on government role

headshotBarbara has been appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Cabinet Office, working with Cabinet Office Minister, Jim Murphy MP.

The chief role of the Cabinet Office is to work alongside the Treasury and the Prime Minister’s Office to make government more effective.

Barbara said:

"I am delighted to have an opportunity to work closer to the heart of government. The Cabinet Office has an important job in improving delivery of the public services which my constituents in Worsley depend on.

“My new role with the Government fits in well with my aim of being a good constituency MP working for people across the Worsley constituency and raising their concerns and issues with Government and at Westminster."
