Barbara welcomes good news for Harrop Fold School

In a visit to the school on Monday morning (12/12/2005) Barbara praised the hard work of all the staff and pupils at Harrop Fold.

Barbara addressed the school assembly and told pupils how proud she was of their achievement.

Barbara said:

“I am thrilled at this good news for the school. I have been impressed over the last 9 months at the high standards of leadership of the teaching team at Harrop Fold which has resulted in the school achieving recognition of great improvements in the teaching and learning programmes.

“There are also good standards of discipline and politeness from the pupils at the school, which have been evident whenever I’ve visited. I realise that the positive OFSTED report has come about due to a lot of hard work by the headteacher, teaching staff and school governors.

“With financial approval for a new school building on a single site, the future is looking very bright for Harrop Fold and I have confidence that the school will go from strength to strength.”
