Barbara Keeley

LABOUR CANDIDATE FOR WORSLEY AND ECCLES SOUTH

Barbara campaigns for Tony Lloyd to be Police and Crime Commissioner

Barbara was out campaigning in Eccles with City Mayor, Ian Stewart, Cllr David Lancaster, Cllr Tom Murphy and colleagues. Barbara and the campaigners were raising awareness among voters that an election will take place on November 15th for the new role of Police and Crime Commissioner for Greater Manchester.

The Labour candidate for Greater Manchester Police and Crime Commissioner is Tony Lloyd, who has been the MP for Manchester Central.

Barbara said:

“I believe that Tony Lloyd is an excellent candidate for the role of Police and Crime Commissioner. Tony will listen to local people about what they see as the important issues in crime, policing and criminal justice.

"I think the Government is wrong to have set a date in November for the election to this new role and they have also done little to inform the public about it. I and my Labour colleagues in Salford are doing our best to let people know about the election and the importance of voting on November 15th.”
