“Bernard Pennington has made a remarkable contribution across more than fifty years to the community locally and to Education and Children’s Services. The award recognises Bernard’s leadership in Education, at Salford University and in local schools. It also recognises his contribution to the continued development of services like Salford’s Childrens Holiday Camp in Prestatyn.
"I know that Bernard has also been involved for decades with many local organisations including Walkden and District Scouts and Farnworth and Walkden Brass Band. I congratulate Bernard on his remarkable contribution to the local community and on this well-deserved award."
