Barbara congratulates Salford City Council for ‘excellent’ ratining for adult social care

Social CareBarbara has congratulated Salford City Council for being awarded an ‘excellent’ rating by the Commission for Social Care Inspection.

This is the fourth consecutive year the Council has been awarded the top rating for adult social care. The rating confirms Salford’s position as one of the top three performing local authorities in the North West of England.

Barbara said:

“I am extremely pleased that Salford City Council’s adult social care services have once again been rated ‘excellent’ and I have written to Acting Director Tom McDonald to congratulate him and the Department on this great result.

“Salford City Council does an excellent job coordinating adult social care for people in my constituency. They have built strong partnerships with local primary care services to ensure people in Salford can access the help and support they need.

“I know that services can always be improved and I will continue to work alongside the Council to ensure people in Salford keep their access to the very best social care available.”
