Barbara discusses politics and Parliament with Bridgewater sixth formers

Barbara recently visited Bridgewater School to speak to sixth-form pupils about the role of an MP and day-to-day life in the House of Commons.

Barbara said:

“I enjoyed speaking to the sixth form pupils about my role as MP for Worsley as I think it is important that young people understand the political systems and how Parliament works. I would like to thank Head of Sixth form, Ms Sharon Minta, for the invitation to speak at the school.

“My speech covered how I became an MP, my work in the House of Commons and also my new role in Government as a Whip. I am honoured to be the MP for Worsley and I hope that sessions like this one help young people at Worsley schools to learn more about the work of Parliament.”
