Barbara encourages local employers and apprentices to apply for Apprenticeships Awards

ApprenticeshipsBarbara is supporting the Learning and Skills Council’s sixth annual Apprenticeship Awards and is urging local businesses and apprentices to apply before 27 February 2009.

Barbara said:

“The Apprenticeship Awards celebrate those apprentices and employers who have actively discovered new ideas and skills, and who have improved the work environment around them. There are three categories open to apprentices; Young Apprentice of the Year, Apprentice of the Year and Advanced Apprentice of the Year.

“I know many employers across Worsley Constituency are successfully using apprenticeships to improve their businesses and tackle skills shortages in our workforce. I encourage all of them to apply for the Awards which celebrate training and excellence in the workplace.”
