In September, Worsley and Eccles South MP Barbara Keeley invited pupils from primary schools across the constituency to take part in her 2010 Christmas Card Competition.
The winner of this year’s competition is Lydia Roberts from Broadoak Primary School in Swinton.
On Friday, Barbara visited Broadoak Primary School to present Lydia with first prize.
“I was delighted to award first prize to Lydia. Her design has been printed in full colour and is being used as my official Christmas card for 2010.
“As always, the standard of entries was high and it was very hard to choose the best design out of the many hundreds I received.
“I would like to congratulate Lydia for her imaginative design and also the runners up; Liam Ashurst and Kane Oliver whose designs were also very good and will feature on the back of the Christmas card.
“Thanks also must go to all the teachers who encouraged their pupils to take part in the competition. I would also like to thank Image Group, The Lowry and Tesco in Irlam for sponsoring my card and providing prizes for the winners and runners up.
“Once again well done to everyone across Worsley and Eccles South who participated in the competition.”
