Barbara questions Electricity North West after 3,000 homes left without power

Power cutBarbara said:

The power cut that thousands of people in Boothstown and Ellenbrook experienced last night was unacceptable.

“People were left with no heating, hot water, unable to cook their evening meals and relying on candles for light. A small number of households had to wait until 2am before the power was restored.

“This is second time that power has been lost in this area in the last 2 weeks and the first cut was a lengthy one.  I have raised the issue with Electricity North West, who have serious questions to answer on this.  I am calling on the company to take urgent action to make sure this does not happen in this area again.”
