Barbara Keeley MP

LABOUR MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR WORSLEY AND ECCLES SOUTH

Barbara welcomes report from the All-Party Parliamentary Inquiry into Antisemitism

headshotBarbara has been working as part of a cross-party group of MPs to investigate the rise in antisemitic attacks since the year 2000.

The report calls for urgent action from government, police, prosecution services, universities and the Jewish community, to tackle a disturbing rise in antisemitism in the UK.

Recent tensions in the Middle East have exacerbated this problem, with the latest figures showing the third highest level of antisemitic incidents ever recorded in the UK over a month.

Barbara said:

"This report is an important step in stemming the rise of antisemitism in UK.

"The findings are worrying; however I am also confident that with sufficient diligence we will be able to take the necessary steps to stop incidents of antisemitism taking place in the future."
