Remember:

You must only make trips that are absolutely necessary for work, to get supplies, to care for others or for medical reasons.

If your journey is essential, drive, cycle or walk if you can. Avoid public transport and only use it if you have no other option.

If you have to make an essential journey by car, please extra take care on the roads – reduce pressure on the NHS and emergency services.

Walking or cycling for essential journeys is a safe way to travel, it can minimise the spread of the virus and also help maintain your mental and physical wellbeing.

You can walk, run, cycle or take other exercise once a day in areas close to your home.

If you have to make an essential journey, check timetables before you travel.

Wash your hands before and after your journey, cough or sneeze into a tissue and use contactless payments if possible.

Bus stations and interchanges are opening for reduced hours and Travelshops are now closed (apart from Eccles and Altrincham, which currently remain open) – customers can use online services or call the contact centre on 0161 244 1000.

A small number of TfGM school bus services are running to schools which remain open, and are free for the children of key workers to use.
