It is unacceptable that constituents living in Eccles have not been receiving their post for over one month.

The Royal Mail says the issue is down to staff shortages caused by sickness and isolation because of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, I find this unacceptable and I am concerned about how widespread this problem appears to be.

I have heard from constituents who have not received letters containing very important information like hospital appointments, medical results, pension payment notifications, bank statements and other letters.

I have now written to David Gold, Director of Public Affairs and Policy at Royal Mail, about this issue.
