LABOUR MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR WORSLEY AND ECCLES SOUTH

Death of Stan Witkowski

Stan Witkowski“I was very sad to hear of the death of Stan Witkowski, who died suddenly after a heart attack.

Stan represented Walkden South ward on Salford City Council for 17 years.  He was the Mayor of Salford from 2004-2005.  He took the decision to stand down as a councillor in 2007 due to ill-health.

Stan was a long-time member of the Labour Party.  He dedicated himself to serving the local community and his hard work and commitment to local people will be warmly remembered in Walkden and across Salford.

I will miss him and I know he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the local community.”
