I have pledged to support people who work in retail through supporting Usdaw’s ‘Keep Sunday Special’ campaign.

USDAW’s campaign is calling for Sunday trading hours to continue to be limited to six hours so that people working in retail can still have some time off at the weekend. The current six hour limit for large retail stores is very important to the three million retail workers in our country.

I believe that Sundays are a special day for families and communities. It is important for retail stores to keep the six hour working day on Sunday so that people who work in retail can get some time away from work at the weekend.

I have always supported this campaign and I pledge that, if I am re-elected in May, I will continue to support Usdaw’s campaign to Keep Sunday Special.
