On Sunday 3 March Barbara visited Eccles Mosque as part of the national #VisitMyMosque initiative.

The Eccles Mosque has a daily congregation of about 60 people and on Friday prayers it attracts more than 500 worshippers.

Barbara says:

“Thanks to Eccles Mosque for inviting me to visit and speak at the Visit My Mosque event today. There was a warm welcome and we had an interesting tour and heard prayers before the speeches.

“City Mayor Paul Dennett and my neighbour Rebecca Long-Bailey also spoke and Cllrs Barbara Bentham , John Ferguson, John Walsh, David Jolley, Mike McCusker and Stuart Dickman were at the event too.”
