Oppose a name change for Salford Red Devils

Calling all fans of Salford Red Devils

It is said that a name change is being considered by club owner Marwan Koukash...

Please help ensure our club retains its name after 144 years. Please co-sign my letter:

Dear Marwan Koukash,

Fans of Salford Red Devils are proud of their great city and worried that their local professional Rugby League Club might change the club's name..

Fans are pulling together to oppose any change in the club's name from Salford to Manchester.

At this time, we are calling on local people to show solidarity and pride in both our city and club.

I am writing together with Rebecca Long-Bailey and Salford City Mayor, Paul Dennett, to seek a meeting with you, the club owner.

I hope you will acknowledge the co-signatures to this letter from many of my constituents, as a strong signal of opposition to the current plans and the serious need for a meeting to discuss the issue of any name change.

With thanks,

Barbara Keeley
