Schools Minister praises new investment in Worsley Primary Schools

Schools Minister Jim Knight visited St Edmunds Primary School, Little Hulton, to view the site where a new £4.2 million school is to be built.

Three Little Hulton schools, St Joseph’s, Our Lady and Lancashire Martyrs and St Edmund’s will be merged to create a new school to serve the children of Little Hulton.

Barbara said:

"I was pleased to be able to take the Minister to see the site for the new school. Jim Knight was also able to discuss the design of the school and its interior facilities with pupils and staff. The children have been working on what features they want inside the new school and they had much to tell the Minister about that.

"I am looking forward to the building of the new school. The investment of £4.2million from government will bring a much improved physical environment in the new school which should also help staff and pupils to reach improved educational standards as well."
