LABOUR MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR WORSLEY AND ECCLES SOUTH

Surprise Presentation for Barbara

On a visit to Boothstown Methodist Primary School, schoolchildren surprised Barbara by presenting her with a commemorative plaque and bunch of flowers in recognition of her help getting them a new playground.

Part of the playground was lost when the school was extended leaving the children with a very small space to play. Barbara successfully intervened to ensure that the enlargement went ahead

Barbara went to the school on Friday morning, to present a prize to Sam Walker, a Year 6 pupil, who was a runner-up in her annual Christmas card competition.

She said:

“To be presented gifts myself was a big surprise, but I was delighted. It was very thoughtful of the children and I was glad to have the chance to visit this excellent school again. It was also great to see the completed playground."
