In September, Barbara hosted a Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in Walkden to help raise money for Macmillan to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

The coffee morning was held at Walkden Methodist Church and was attended by local residents. The event was one of hundreds held across the country as part of Macmillan’s annual ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ campaign.

Barbara said:

“I was pleased that local residents came to the coffee morning to support such an important cause. The money raised from donations and the cake stall totalled £205.

“The money raised has been sent to Macmillan Cancer Support and will help to fund vital medical, financial and emotional support for families affected by cancer in Salford.

“My thanks to everyone who came along the coffee morning and donated money to this worthy cause.”
