Local MP Barbara Keeley visited BridgewaterPrimary Schoolto present Taylor Mears, winner of the 2009 Christmas Card Competition, with her prize.

Barbara said:

“I was delighted to award Taylor with first prize.  Her winning design has now been professionally printed in full colour and is being used as my official 2009 Christmas card. I would like to congratulate Taylor for her imaginative design and also the runners up – Emma Conway from Mesne Lea School and Rebecca Unwin from St Paul’s Crompton Street whose designs will also feature on the card.

“The high standard of the entries this year made choosing the winning design very difficult. Well done to all the children in local schools in Worsley Constituency who took part and well done again to Taylor for her wonderful entry.

“This is the fourth time I have organised this competition. I would like to thank all the Headteachers and class teachers who encouraged their pupils to take part in the competition.  I am particularly grateful to our design partners The Image Group and to our prize sponsors.”
