I plan to support the work of Arthritis Research UK and to stand up for people in Worsley and Eccles South who live with musculoskeletal conditions.

Over 10 million people in the UK suffer from musculoskeletal conditions. I believe that more research is needed so that we can provide people who live with these conditions good quality, integrated care.

Labour will make sure that people with long-term conditions receive the care they deserve by joining up services from home to hospital, with a single point of contact for those who need it. We will also invest in the NHS by recruiting and training 20,000 more nurses, 8,000 more GPs. For people who need homecare we will provide 5,000 new homecare workers and tackle the scandal of 15 minute care slots.

If I am re-elected on May 7th I will support campaigns to make musculoskeletal conditions a public health priority and I will campaign to ensure that people with arthritis get the high-quality care they need.
